LIBRO: Intelligent Automation (Hiperautomatización)

Este es el primer libro sobre automatización inteligente (IA). También llamada Hiperautomatización, la primera de las diez principales tendencias tecnológicas que el analista Gartner consideró para el año 2020 (publicado en octubre de 2019 en su artículo “Top 10 Strategic Technology Trends for 2020”). Tendencia tecnología que otros analistas la denominan de forma diferente, así Forrester lo llama Automatización Digital de Procesos (Digital Process Automation, DPA), e IDC lo llama Automatización inteligente de Procesos (Intelligent Process Automation, IPA). Gartner la ha incluido dentro de las 10 tendencias para el 2021, insistiendo en el crecimiento de la hiperautomatización debido a la pandemia actual.  

La hiperautomatización combina las tecnologías adecuadas para automatizar, simplificar, descubrir, diseñar, medir y gestionar flujos de trabajo y procesos en toda la empresa. No es suficiente con tecnologías RPA (Robotic Process Automation), porque éstas están pensadas para la automatización de tareas predecibles, altamente repetitivas y que no incluyan la participación humana. Además, será necesario tecnologías como BPMS (Suites de Business Process Management , y mejor, iBPMS – Intelligent BPMS) que facilitan la orquestación (y automatización) de procesos de principio a fin, de manera transversal con la participación humana, de sistemas, aplicaciones y de máquinas. Además, plataformas de workflow, suites de gestión de decisiones (BRMS- Business Rules Management Systmes, u DMS –Decision Management Systems), Process Mining, plataformas de procesamiento de eventos complejos, entre otras.. 

Los autores son Pascal Bornet, Ian Barkin y Jochen Wirtz, que indican que el libro facilita el aprendizaje para aprovechar la inteligencia artificial para impulsar los negocios y hacer nuestro mundo más humano. Redactado para todos, ya sea un profesional experimentado, nuevo en el tema o simplemente interesado en lo que depara el futuro para las empresas, el trabajo, la vida y la sociedad en general. 

El libro responde a las siguientes preguntas: ¿Qué es la automatización inteligente (IA)? ¿Por qué se ha expandido tan rápidamente el uso de la hiperautomatización? ¿Cuáles son los beneficios que genera para las personas, las empresas, los clientes y la sociedad? ¿Cómo han podido las organizaciones líderes aprovechar todo el potencial de la automatización inteligente, a escala, y generar ganancias de eficiencia masivas?  ¿Cómo puede la automatización inteligente salvar más de 10 millones de vidas al año, triplicar nuestro presupuesto global para la educación, eliminar el hambre o ayudar a proteger nuestro planeta?
