Gartner Peer Insights provides reviews for Enterprise Business Process Analysis

When you have to decide for any software tool, you should to research about a list of vendors and define the criteria to cover your requirements. Gartner provides reviews for tools in "Gartner peer insights". In this case, I have visited the reviews for Enterprise Business Process Analysis which includes the subjective opinions of individual end users based on their own experiences about BPA tools. You can find 18 vendors: Microsoft, BOC Group, IBM, Idea, Software AG, Signavio, Orbus Software, Mavim, Avolution, Tibco Software, OpenText, Navvia, BIZZdesign, iGrafx, QPR, W4 Software, BusinessOptix and QualiWare.  Although  they are not the only one tools in this arena and the statistics only shows the number of reviews that Gartner has received,  you can take in consideration for your evaluation of products.  Or if you are using an EBPA tool, you can write a review about your experience to help people who has to decide for one.

Process Mining plays an essential role in Digital Transformation

This month on the Connectian blog of Albatian, I publish an article about Process Mining, that is a process analysis method that aims to discover, monitor and improve real processes (processes not assumed) by extracting knowledge easily from available event logs in the systems of current information of an organization. It goes beyond the pure presentation of the key data of the process, recognizing the contextual relationships of the processes, presenting them in the form of graphic analysis in order to diagnose problems and suggest improvements in the quality of the process models. With Process Mining it will be possible to detect or diagnose problems based on facts and not on conjectures or intuitions. Process mining seeks the confrontation between event data (observed behavior) and process models (hand-made or automatically discovered). Through the pairing of event data and process models, it will be possible to check compliance, detect deviations, predict delays, support decision making and recommend process redesigns.

In this article, I explain the capabilities offered by Process Mining, the three main types of Process Mining (Discovery, Conformance and Enhancement), the application methodology of Process Mining written by Santiago Aguirre, the state of the market (growth, opportunities. ..), the map of software solution vendors to do Process Mining in an organization and a complete table of vendors indicating the solution they offer and a link to their website.

Este mes en el blog de Connectian de Albatian, publico un artículo sobre Process Mining, o la minería de procesos, que es un método de análisis de procesos que tiene como objetivo descubrir, supervisar y mejorar procesos reales (es decir, procesos no asumidos) mediante la extracción de conocimiento de registros de eventos fácilmente disponibles en los sistemas de información actuales de una organización. Va más allá de la presentación pura de los datos clave del proceso, reconociendo las relaciones contextuales de los procesos, los presenta en forma de análisis gráfico para poder diagnosticar problemas y sugerir mejoras de la calidad de los modelos de procesos. Con Process Mining será posible detectar o diagnosticar problemas basados en hechos y no en conjeturas o intuiciones. La minería de procesos busca la confrontación entre los datos de eventos (es decir, el comportamiento observado) y los modelos de procesos (hechos a mano o descubiertos automáticamente).  Mediante el emparejamiento de datos de eventos y modelos de procesos, será posible comprobar conformidades, detectar desviaciones, predecir retrasos, soportar la toma de decisión y recomendar rediseños de procesos.

En este artículo, explico las capacidades que ofrece Process Mining, los tres tipos principales de la Minería de Procesos (Descubrimiento, Conformidad y Mejoramiento), la metodología de aplicación de Process Mining redactada por Santiago Aguirre, el estado del mercado (crecimiento, oportunidades...), el mapa de los proveedores de soluciones software para hacer Process Mining en una organización y una tabla completa de los proveedores indicando la solución que ofrecen y un link a su web.
